Vaser Liposuction For Unwanted Fat
VASER Lipo
Ultrasonic energy has been used for years in a wide array of medical applications – from catching that first glimpse of a baby to cleaning your teeth. Now the gentle power of ultrasound has evolved to fat removal. VASER® Lipo, or LipoSelection®, uses an ultrasonic technology that is tissue-selective. The ultrasound energy targets unwanted fat, but preserves other surrounding tissues—such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue— to promote smooth contours and rapid healing. Maximum results and minimum downtime are what you can expect with VASER Lipo.
You’ve worked hard to eat right and exercise, yet you still can’t lose those “love handles” or other fat deposits you consider unsightly. Human fat, or adipose tissue, can be very hard to get rid of through exercise and diet alone. Laser Lipo can be a relatively simple solution to remove stubborn fat permanently.
Laser Lipo offers a revolutionary and minimally invasive procedure for the removal of fat. Using a high-powered laser, laser lipo is a new Laser Body Sculpting procedure with less down time and side effects than traditional liposuction. Body regions that can benefit from laser lipo procedure include:
• Face
• Back
• Bra strap
• Mons pubis
• Breasts (gynecomastia)
• Thighs (saddle bags)
• Hips
|
• Buttocks
• Knees
• Upper arms
• Chin
• Cheeks
• Neck
• Areas of loose and flabby skin |
Laser Lipo works best on small areas of fat that can be quickly liquefied and easily removed. The SmartLipo procedure is often done with the patient standing up, giving the surgeon the ability to more closely gauge what the final results will be. This upright position also affords the surgeon the ability to better sculpt the area that needs work.
Laser Lipo…re-sculpting the body you always dreamed of.
How Laser Lipo Works
Laser Lipo uses a carefully calibrated laser to liquefy fat deposits through the top layers of the patient's skin. The laser actually ruptures fat cells, and the resulting oily, liquid substance is then removed through a tiny incision in the skin by the surgeon. The small laser can also seal blood vessels as it zaps fat, so there is less swelling, bleeding and bruising than with traditional liposuction. Research has shown that little, if any, fat is reabsorbed back into the body. The minimal invasiveness of the procedure allows you to see faster results and to experience fewer complications. In addition, Laser Lipo patients need only a local anesthetic for this procedure, whereas liposuction requires general anesthesia. Because the patient is not completely unconscious, Laser Lipo carries much fewer risks than traditional liposuction, and the recovery time is much shorter.
Is Laser Lipo Right for You?
Almost anyone can be a good candidate for Laser Lipo. In general, the ideal candidate:
(1) is in good health, exercises regularly, is within 25 lbs. of his or her ideal weight;
(2) has one or more areas of local body fat deposits that have responded poorly to diet and exercise; and
(3) is bothered by these fatty areas, and is motivated to get rid of them permanently.
You don’t have a lot of time to spend in recovery. You are typically back to work within 1–2 days following the procedure. Bandages are removed 1–2 weeks after that.
